You can ask....: It doesn't mean that is what you will get. The anesthesiologist will meet you, discuss your medical history with you and depending on what procedure you are having come up with an anesthetic plan. Patients sometimes request things that are not possible or not in their best interests. AND insurance will not pay for general anesthesia for a very minor procedure. You will have to pay out of pocket
