A member asked:

Could there be a disease caused by mris?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: There is no disease than can be caused to a patient undergoing a regular MRI without contrast. There is a very rare disease called nephrogenic systemic fibrosis that can occur in patients with severe kidney disease who get the MRI contrast. However, this complication occurs whether or not the patient undergoes the MRI itself.
