A member asked:

How long should you keep a 3 year old awake after they bump their head?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No specific interval: Different from adults, we do not wake most infants hourly for a day to check for head injury effects. Infants who were not knocked out can be kept in their normal routine with occasional surveillance of their sleeping quality.Recurrent vomiting indicates need for an evaluation. If knocked out, monitor for vomiting or behavior change & seek attention if these occur.
