Possibly: If the anemia was mild (hgb > 10), and the reason the patient was anemic was not in itself a contraindication to anesthesia or surgery, then yes, a rhinoplasty could possibly be performed. See your local plastic surgeon or ENT for a consult, and be prepared to discuss your anemia in detail.

Yes if no hemophilia: Certainly most patients with a borderline anemia may undergo rhinoplasty with mini al risk but this just be fully evaluated by your primary care physician, surgeon and anesthesiologist. If your anemia is die to an underlying disease process, then other considerations must be considered such as treatmentif the disease or avoiding surgery altogether.

Possible: It is important to determine your level of anemia and that you are otherwise healthy. A nose job (rhinoplasty) has a relatively low risk of excessive bleeding, so more than likely, you would be able to undergo the surgery.

Yes: If you have mild anemia then a rhinoplasty should be ok. Get clearance by your medical doctor prior to surgery.

Rhinoplasty: Discuss this issue with your surgeon and your doctor who does your medical clearance. Be sure to have your nose evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon.
