Dr. Ana Cary answered

None if healthy: If a newborn is born at term and the mother was healthy and received routine prenatal care with negative labs - there are no tests that are done if the newborn is acting normally. Routine medications/immunizations administered to all normal newborns are Erythromycin eye drops, vitamin k shot and possibly hepatitis b vaccine.

Metabolic screen: Most states require newborns to undergo a metabolic blood screen which includes things like pku , thyroid profile, or as many as 25tests depending on the state one lives in.
