Is omnicef (cefdinir) bad for toddlers with an ear infection?

Interesting question: Some individual patients will have trouble with any medication choice. This can be due to allergic or tolerance issues. I find Omnicef (cefdinir) produces more abdominal issues (cramping, loose stools) than some other medications. It is not my first line medication for that reason.However, should my first choice fail, i routinely use it with success.
