An infection: Your lip piercing may be infected. Get it checked out medically. In the meantime – don’t smoke. Rinse your mouth before and after eating. Clean the piercings 2 to 3 times per day with the solution that was recommended by the piercer. Brush teeth at least twice a day with a soft brush.
