Please tell me how long it takes for to develop cirrhosis from a fatty liver?

Variable: A fatty liver may not turn into cirrhosis if the insult is removed, e.G, a person with fatty liver due to alcohol may be able to reverse the fatty change and not become cirrhotic by abstaining from alcohol. An obese person may reverse the change by weight loss.
