Needs Treatment: Addison's disease, which is rare, is failure of the adrenal glands - 2 glands adjacent to the kidneys that produce hormones: especially cortisol, aldosterone, adrenalin, and small amounts of sex hormones. Symptoms include low blood pressure, weight loss, weakness, and dizziness. Replacement therapy is mandatory once the DX is confirmed by lab tests as these hormones are necessary for life.
