A member asked:

What sort of disease is cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Leaking spinal fluid: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is the fluid that surrounds and cushions the brain and spinal cord. Rhinorrhea is a runny nose. Nerves from the front of the brain (olfactory nerves) descend through a thin layer of bone called the cribriform plate and into the nasal cavity so you can smell. If that layer of bone is fractured, spinal fluid can leak down from the brain and out the nose. CSF rhinorrhea.
