What is the procedure for draining cerebrospinal fluid from their brain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Shunting: If a patient has hydrocephalus and increased pressure within the intracranial cavity, a neurosurgeon can place a VP shunt, to drain the fluid. In some cases, such as pseudo tumor cerebri, a spinal tap to drain fluid may be useful for symptom relief.
