Abnormal CSF: Normal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is clear and colorless. Bloody CSF is abnormal. Possible causes include subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage or cerebral infarct. A traumatic spinal tap may also result in bloody CSF.
