Ideal Blood Pressure: Ideal resting blood pressure should be below 120 for the top number (systolic) and below 80 for the bottom number (diastolic). Stage 1 hypertension (high blood pressure starts at 140/90. If you have other medical conditions, your goal range may vary.

Generally : An acceptable blood pressure is less than 140/90. However depending on other factors such as diabetes or chronic kidney disease the targets might be lower. Still some controversy/confusion in this regard. Best advice is to see your doctor for a full evaluation.
