What consequences result from the different add, adhd medications?

ADHD Rx: There are three classes: stimulants, nonstimulants, and "off-label" uses of other drugs. Stimulants are in either the methylphenidate (ritalin) class, or the amphetamine class. Common side effects include jitteriness, anxiety, being hyped up, loss of appetite, headaches, etc. Caution in dosing usually precludes these sxs from developing. Nonstimulants are perhaps better tolerated

Depends what treatin: By consequences, are you meaning positive or negative effects. If you are treating ADHD, then the positive is improvment in symptoms. The most common negative effects are headache, stomach ache, decrease in appetite, interference with sleep initiation. Amphetamines (Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) and Vyvanse) and methylphenidate (Ritalin and Concerta) share the same side effects. Happen about 5% of time.
