MPH / AMP: The most effective and most commonly prescribed meds for ADHD are Methylphenidate-MPH (i.e., Ritalin, (methylphenidate) Concerta, Metadate), or Dextroamphetamine-AMP (i.e., Dexedrine, Adderall). Effect is dose dependent and should be increased until the patient feels continuous full-day effect, which means from waking until bedtime. The last dose of the day should drop off no sooner than 2-hours before bedtime.
