A member asked:

What are the symptoms/treatment for a heel spur?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Plantar fasciitis: Heel spurs alone don't cause pain. The pain is most likely from plantar fasciitis. Stretching exercises, anti-inflammatories, orthotics, night splints and physical therapy can aid in the treatment of plantar fasciitis. If these therapies don't work, a physician might be required to perform injection therapy, electrotherapy or even a surgical release of the plantar fascia.
