West nile treatment for symptoms : r leg wekness and foot drop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rehabilitation: In rare instances, west nile viral infections can cause brain damage that can lead to weakness. Although improvement can continue for months if not years, some of the impairment can be permanent. Initially, physical therapy should be initiated to maintain flexibility and improve strength. Bracing can stabilize the foot. Depending on the degree of damage, tendon transfers and fusion may help.
