Eat less & exercise: There is only one reliable plan: eat less and exercise more. It's 3500 calories to gain or lose a pound. Avoid fad diets, instead of a "diet" find a good nutritional plan you can follow the rest of your life. Weight watchers and other such programs are good for support. Avoid internet supplements, tv garbage, and advice from friends who don't know any more than you do.
