General Surgery 32 years experience
Post surgery care: If you had a hernia repair the general concept is to not strain the repair until the healing process is nearly complete, about 6 weeks. Best to ask your surgical team, as they know your case the best. Go to your post operative appointment, and take a friend with you. Good luck.
