Possibly: There are some breast lumps that may be benign and some may be malignant. If this is a new mass, i would suggest seeing your doctor for further evaluation.

Needs follow-up: While a lump may be benign (a cyst, a fibroadenoma), cancer needs to be ruled out. Breast cancer most often presents as a painless lump in the breast. You should see your doctor and get a mammogram and likely an ultrasound. This may require a biopsy.
