It's time for meds: Sorry to say it, but your pancreas may have passed the point where it may not be able to put out the Insulin with conservative measures only. Metformin may be necessary to keep the liver from releasing excess glucose. Onglyza (saxagliptin) may be necessary to whip your pancreas with meals to produce an Insulin surge. Actos may be necessary to overcome Insulin resistance. Weight loss may still be an issue.
