Yes: If you have high blood sugars, you are likely diabetic or prediabetic. It depends on how high your sugars are. In either event you need to be avoiding concentrated sweets (cakes, cookies, ice cream, candy, fruit juice, soda, etc.) at a minimum. If you are overweight, your sugars would likely improve with weight loss. This is best done by decreasing starches (bread,potatoes,rice,pasta) in the diet
