Yes and no: You have to create a negative energy balance which means take in less calories than you burn. So some reduction in daily calories is needed which you can do by slowly cutting back on portion size of any foods which have too much calories. Use plenty of fillers like salalds and veggies. Use fruits with each meal and avoid fat rich foods(no fried foods or fast foods). Also ovoid sweets in any form!
