No such brain region: There really aren't 'automatic' or intrusive thoughts. We are in control over thinking, despite how it may seem at times. We process information constantly and may react to our environment quite suddenly, but not automatically nor do we think intrusively. Our patterns can become more rapid over time with repeated use and practice.
