Abdominal sounds: Your stomach may growl when you're hungry. Also your intestines make sounds as food is moving through. They are hollow, and these sounds can echo through your abdomen like the sounds you hear from water pipes. Most of these are normal signs that your GI system is working. Lack of sounds heard at least by stethoscope is more worrisome. Talk with your doctor if concerned about this.
