Time to find out: Unless the radiologists has told you they are confident that this is hepatocellular carcinoma, then your physician will proceed to biopsy. It may be totally benign. The fact that you have been a drinker is immaterial. Don't give up hope. Exercise your autonomy, get all the facts from your physicians, and make the treatment / non-treatment decisions that are right for you.
