A member asked:

Helico bacteria pylori i have been tested positive on a blood test for this but negative on a stool test so the doctor wont treat me with the antibiotics. what does this mean for the future?

Not much: It just means that you once had an infection to which you built immunity, but don't have an active infection now. Probably because you got treated properly.

Not infected...: Stool and breath testing for h. Pylori are more accurate than blood tests. A negative stool test for h. Pylori indicates with a high level of certainty you are not infected with the bacteria. Like with any infectious agent, the immune system antibody against it will be present in your blood the rest of your life - to protect you from future exposures. Good luck!
