I had h pylori about 5 years ago. i was feeling sick again and my blood antibody tested positive but my stool test was negative. do i have it?

No: The blood test can be positive for years and can be affected by a number of meds. The stool test is much more accurate and less affected by medications. If the stool test was negative then you likely don't have the infection.

No: The blood antibody will remain positive in anyone who has had h pylori infection. If the stool test is negative there is no active infection. A negative "breath test" will also confirm that you do not have continued h pylori infection.
