Fractures painful: A fracture is very painful, even if nondisplaced. Please contact your doctor regarding proper pain management. Follow your doctor's rules regarding weight-bearing and other activities.

Yes, most likely due: To bleeding into the joint from the fx. It can hurt even at rest, in the early days (upto 2 weeks at least), after which it subsides to a great extent. Avoid weight bearing on it. Consult your orthopod for specifics of the treatment.
