Bone stimulator: This could be used to promote healing of the bone and make the recovery shorter. It is just a device that you wear for a certain amount of time a day that stimulate the bone to heal.

Common: They are commonly used. They are safe and they work. The stimulator is usually external and easy to use. They create an external magnetic field that stimulates bone growth. Check out orthofix.Com.
