A member asked:

Mother & daughter have glaucoma. treatment for mother has not controlled & lost some vision. is daughter likely to have this aggressive type glaucoma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could : Glaucoma risk is higher with positive family history. If the mom has an aggressive type then it may or may not be the same for the daughter. Its very important to follow up with an eye doc on a regular base, and stay compliance with medication. Its also important to eat well(fruit and veg), meditate, yoga, blood pressure control and make sure to have a good oxygenation. Avoid head down yoga.
