Does supplements valerian root, gaba and inositol really work to reduce anxiety?

To some extent: They are helpful. Another supplement that helps with anxiety but is not sedating is theanine. It's an Amino Acid found in green tea and doses of 100-400 mg are very helpful in reducing anxiety.

Inositol Yes,others?: Good quality research shows high doses of inositol help panic disorder & it has helped many of my patients with anxiety. Valerian may help insomnia but is not yet proven to help anxiety. Gaba does not seem to cross the blood-brain barrier but a relative called phenibut can help.
