Fruit contains sugar: Unfortunately, although fruit has plenty of benefits, it also contains a fair amount of sugar. A diet that is low in calories (if overweight) and refined carbohydrates is best. Try switching some of your snacks to vegetables, nuts, seeds etc. Eating some fruit is ok, but moderation is key. Good luck with your diabetes!
