No: Weight at birth is not indicative of future growth. Many large infants only grow to average size. Obesity that occurs after birth however as in babies that are overfed does have a direct correlation with adult obesity. Make sure you are getting regular checkups for your baby and that heights and weights are in line with normal development charts.
