Do babies age to weight/length percentiles project to their potential adult size... or is it only applicable to their babyhood?

Growth: Potential adult height depends mostly on family height. One rough calculation: mid parental height (+) 1 inch for boy and (-) 1 inch for girls. Infants and young children temporarily loose weight with slowness of growth when they have minor illnesses, and catches up soon after recovery. The child who has been always overfeed and big has seen to be overweight as adults.
