Sandifer's: Infants who are distressed from acid reflux often cry and arch their back, or seem hungry but cry once they start to drink. They may also resent being placed on their back and prefer to sit up. Frequent nasal congestion can result from chronic irritation of the nose tissue and make it difficult for them to breathe, further worsening fussiness.
