Yes: A platelet count of 10 is not borderline low, it is very low. It's not surprising you bleed easily. Are you sure you don't mean your platelet count is 100 (and that's really 100 k)? That would be borderline.

Yes: Platelet counts of 10, 000 are considered to be severe thrombocytopenia. There are several potential causes of thrombocytopenia that a hematologist could assess and possibly provide treatment. I recommend that you see a hematologist if you have not already done so.
