Sometimes: The bladder which is involved in infection is centrally located in bottom of abdomen in pelvis. The pressure or cramping is in the lower abdomen (usually middle) or back. The kidneys are located higher in abdomen posteriorly and usually bilaterally. If infection involves one kidney pain is usually on that side. Usual sxs pain or burning with urination, frequent urination, and urgency.
