If you are: Not passing any flatus or becoming distended or have crampy abdominal pain or nausea or vomiting, yes. If not, you can wait this one out for a couple more days. Get to your surgeon if you have any of the above.

Probably normal: If you're passing gas, then i would not be worried about it. If you're not passing gas, or if you're feeling the urge to stool but cannot pass it, call your surgeon.
