A 58-year-old female asked:

Does the cornea get thinner with age?

Usually not: Aging does affect the inner lining which helps thin out the cornea by keeping it free of excess fluid. When this lining, uncommonly fortunately, gets less capable then the cornea thickens - not a good thing as it becomes less transparent.
