What happens when you get paint thinner in your eye?

Chemical burn: First thing is to rinse the eye thoroughly with any liquid, saline is best, but tap water will do. At least 10 minutes. Then get seen by the eye md or er, to tell if you have a serious chemical injury. Damage is worse if the chemical is basic, and less worrisome if acidic.

Nothing good: An open globe is perhaps the worst injury you could have to the eye. Depending upon the extent the retina may be damaged leading to loss of the eye. Cover the eye with something rigid no pressure is placed on the globe and go to an er asap. Don't eat anything since you'll likely be going to surgery soon.
