Small bowel: Assuming the source of anemia is from the gut (anemia may be from other sources)...The gut includes the small bowel and large bowel (colon). Egd evaluates the esophagus and stomach. Egd can miss dieulafoy lesions or avms. Colonscopy is very good but not perfect. If both egd and colonoscopy are negative and accurate, then bleeding can be from the small bowel. Capsule endoscopy could be considered.
