"interval colon cancers" are defined as presenting relatively soon after a negative colonoscopy exam. This phenomenon is well-defined & well-recognized in the medical literature, distinct from missed or regrowing lesions, & accepted as inevitable despite current screening strategies.

The screening : Interval is 10 years. This to catch a lesion prior to cancer. See the results of your recent colonoscopy. If you had one within 10 years i would be suprised if u had a cancer. Good luck and i'm sure you'll find a more precise answer. I also think they would have told u something after your recent scope if there was cancer.
