What could cause mild gastritis not to heal w/ use of ppis? no hiv, normal ct scan, colonoscopy, blood& stool tests. upper endoscopy(gerd/gastritis)

Gastritis: Given your story this can be an infection, a reaction to medication or alcohol. A stomach that is not fully healed due to gastritis may not heal well even on ppis if one continues to drink alcohol or to take toxic medications.
