Get evaluated: Several things can cause symptoms like this, and a history of childhood asthma suggests that this may indeed represent asthma. But many people waste a lot of time and money just "trying" various things, not know what might help because they don't know the diagnosis. For serious symptoms such as this, it is best to be evaluated by an allergist to find out what the underlying problem really is.
