If you suffer from asthma, you should be under the regular care of a DR. At your next visit, you should tell them your symptoms and have them do a thorough evaluation. Shortness of breath and chest pain could be symptoms of pneumonia, heart problems, or diaphragm irritation (pain radiating to shoulder).
