A member asked:

What are the food habits to be followed by a pcos patient? i don't want medicines.my fsh=6.9, lh=5.2 on the 3rd day of cycle.i hav multicystic ovaries.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diet for PCOS: Since pcos is associated with Insulin resistance & metabolic syndrome, lowering Insulin levels is absolutely key. Cutting out high glycemic index carbs (foods that have high sugar content or that are converted quickly into glucose) such as bread, potatoes, rise, pasta, high sugar fruit, sweets, etc helps keep Insulin levels low and gradually increases Insulin sensitivity. Cut out all dairy as well.
