How long is the healing procss for a torn iris?

Forever: The iris is incapable of repairing itself from a tear or hole. If your eye was traumatized to the extent that the iris was torn requires an evaluation by an ophthalmologist. Tears in the iris can be closed mechanically with proper suturing but cannot heal in the usual way like skin would.
