No: Nasal steroids will have limited ability to reduce adenoids anyway, but this will in no way impair the ability of the adenoids to gradually atrophy( shrink) over time.

Probably not: Adenoids often get smaller after the elementary school years, though not always. Steroids can help shrink them in a few months and have no effect on the body's ability to do this as the child ages.
