Are you pregnant?: Oral steroids are often far more effective in reducing size of most polyps quickly, but there are relative safety concerns with pregnancy (listed here as a condition) that have to be considered case by case. Other meds like Singulair (montelukast) can be helpful in situations. Often, use of an inhaler with rubber nipple attached (nasally) more effective than typical nose spray. Don't forget thesaline irrigation
